When purchasing an un-stretched canvas painting you will need to either stretch it yourself or your local art store or framing store should be able to do it for you. The cost of stretching a large painting is far less than what it would cost to ship it. If you do it yourself, depending on where you source your supplies, I estimate the price between $30. – $50. Most framing stores will charge $8-$20 per linear foot. So my large abstracts, 46″x65″ could cost between $44-$110.
